All of the members of the board of the Antelope Valley Child Abuse Prevention Council are volunteers that donate their time to helping the community prevent child abuse. We are an all volunteer agency that depends on tight teamwork among its Board Members.

We seek board members to partner with us by providing their time and skills to create strategies and plans that meet our chartered objectives and goals. We need people that can teach, do administrative tasks, help and contribute.

Any current member of the Board of Directors of Antelope Valley Child Abuse Prevention Council may recommend for membership to fill an empty seat any person known well to them of good character and reputation in Antelope Valley. Such candidates must agree with the Mission Statement and Goals and objectives of Antelope Valley Child Abuse Prevention Council.


EXPECTATIONS of BOARD MEMBERS

  • Faithful attendance at all board meetings. If a member misses 3 board meetings in a row they will be invited to submit their resignation unless other arrangements have been made with the president. If missing a meeting is anticipated the member is to inform the president prior to the meeting.
  • Willingness to assume one or more responsibilities on the board and exercise due diligence in teamwork with the rest of the board.
