- Mandated
Reporter Training: Provides people who work with children
training in recognizing and reporting child abuse.
- Marriage
and Parenting Classes: Helps build healthy relationships
and families.
- April
National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
- Antelope
Valley Transit Authority: Bus placards that educate against
Child Abuse, are both inside and outside of the busses.
- Yes2Kids
hosts their annual 'Yes2Kids Speak Out About Child Abuse Prevention'
writing contest, in April.
- We
currently have 11 board members and will expand to 15 members.
- We
have become a membership organization and now you can join us.
- We
are developing a speakers bureau to inform the community regarding
Child Abuse issues.
- The
elementary school districts in the Antelope Valley have been
encouraged to use an insert when sending home report cards with
students. The insert stresses parental patience, affirmation
and encouragement toward their child as they receive their report
card.
- We
have a speakers bureau and our twice yearly newsletter.
